Work Injury Solutions recommends alternative work methods and equipment that enable workers with medical restrictions and/or disabilities to continue performing their jobs. Medical restrictions may be related to a work- or non-work-related condition.

Some examples of performance modifications due to medical restrictions include:

  • No frequent lifting of objects greater than 50 lbs.
  • No reaching over the shoulder with the left arm.
  • Limitations of standing or sitting time
To accommodate medical restrictions, Work Injury Solutions may recommend using a material handling device to avoid the need to lift objects weighing more than 50 lbs. or using a stepstool to maintain reaching below shoulder level.
